Innovative Design - Hertco introduced one of the first painted MDF 5-piece doors to the market, setting a new standard in cabinet design and craftsmanship. That same year, the company was approached by a large American manufacturer to become their exclusive supplier of frameless cabinets, validating Hertco’s ongoing growth and reputation for quality and innovation.
The Beginning - Hertco Kitchens was founded in Langley, BC, by four founding partners, starting in a modest warehouse with a vast vision. With determination, ambition, and an unwavering willingness to do whatever it took to make the customer happy, the company quickly assembled a dealer base through its focus on personalized service and a commitment to quality cabinetry.
Washington Facility - It wasn't long until a new 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility was established in Ferndale, Washington, officially marking Hertco’s expansion into the U.S. market. Equipped with the most modern woodworking machinery, the facility solidified Hertco’s footprint in the region and enhanced its ability to deliver high-quality cabinetry with greater efficiency.
Aloha Hawaii - After acquiring our largest Hawaiian dealer-distributor, Hertco opened a new assembly and distribution facility in Oahu. Featuring a dealer-only resource center and displays of both the Hertco and fast-shipping Express lines, the facility enhanced our ability to serve Hawaii and the South Pacific.
U.S. Expansion - With the U.S. market growing rapidly, and accelerating demand for product from the dealer network, Hertco experienced a second phase of growth. After years of successful operations, the company was ready to officially enter the U.S. market and expand its presence. This strategic move broadened Hertco’s reach
to better serve their customers.
Digital Evolution - We remained customer-focused by maintaining stable pricing, production, and delivery. Input from dealers and sales teams drove product innovation, with custom designs becoming part of our standard offerings. Sales support elevated through refreshed catalog, a new website, and expert 20-20 software integration, reinforcing Hertco’s digital leadership.

Strategic Acquisition - Sunrise Kitchens, a family-owned company with over 40 years of experience in cabinetry manufacturing, acquired Hertco Kitchens. Both companies share a deep passion for the kitchen industry and a commitment to creating beautiful, functional spaces. Together, they are honored to continue the legacy built by both companies and look forward to the future opportunities this partnership will bring.

Growing Network - By 2007, Hertco had expanded its dealer network to approximately 250 dealers throughout the Pacific Rim, including Alaska, California, Hawaii, and Western Canada. Some of our original dealers and employees marked 26 years with us—a reflection of the lasting trust we had built.
